So it was time for my mid term trip home for the weekend, an unnecessarily stressful event that took just over 3 weeks to plan (thanks to you non-repliers). You'd think that people would get out the way when they see a pack horse coming their way, but no no, they keep barging on through in the assumption that you'd miraculously hop and skip out of their way. I arrived at the station a good hour and a half early so I wandered around WHSmith in a delicate manner to avoid any chaos and more attention being drawn to myself than there already was, resembling a pack horse and all.

Dragging my luggage up the stairs to the usual platform 1, I saw that the train was being expected 25 minutes later than planned. It came, I went to Bristol, waited again for another delayed train, "ooh it was behind us methinks miss", great, where the man on the tannoy sounded like Justin Lee Collins! The train came, where I had to endure the whole journey to BrummyLand standing up, with a 5 year old chirper for conversation, where I learnt all about his life story. Got to Birmingham at last, the clouds that distinct shade of grey and made it onto the Northampton train - after nearly going to Liverpool.

I had a really good weekend, and it made me realise how much I love and miss my family at the best of times.
